About Ormond 140
This year Ormond College celebrates the 140th anniversary of its opening in 1881. The College was founded on the progressive ideas of the Scottish Enlightenment, and today continues to be a place which believes education makes for better people.
You can explore this website and read stories about Ormond’s traditions, student life, campus and people. Timelines and other historic features highlight how the College has changed over time, but how its fundamental ethos of nurturing individuals who could make good moral decisions and citizens who would contribute productively to their community, has endured.
